Mr. Oatmeal and his 50 mile run

I just had to share this blog, from this guy who calls himself Mr. Oatmeal (his real name is Matthew Inman, I had to google him).  I have never heard of him till now, but apparently he created this website (in 2009) where he features comic drawings and writes blogs about anything and everything. Training for week-ending 3/10/13

Monday – Pilates mat class 60 minutes. Tuesday – Ran at lunch time around Los Altos neighborhood near work, total 4.5 miles.  There was something burning up in the hills; then while I was running, fire trucks came rushing down the streets.  The weather was nice, so I had a nice and easy 4.5 miles



Training for week-ending 3/3/13

It’s March!  I have a little over 1 month left for training (AR 50 is 5 weeks from this Saturday 3/2/13)!  I don’t feel as exhausted as I was last year around this time, when I was training for this.  That could only mean two things:  (1) I’m well trained and ready or almost there,

I have been running a LOT lately, but have not been doing any triathlons at all, probably since 2010(?).  I have not swam, well, maybe I did a few pool swims… I have not been on my bike forever.  Now that I have been living in the Bay Area for a couple of years, I have made
